Lips of a liar.
A friend and I were discussing the Hinder song the other day ("Lips of An Angel").Well, my girl's in the next room
Sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on
It's really good to hear your voice say my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel
Hearing those words it makes me weak
I don't know what annoys me more, this song, or the fact that lots of girls love this song.
Everytime I hear this song I want to cry "bastard!"
How dare he cheat on his girlfriend. I can just imagine her asking him, "who were you talking to?" in that meek scared way when girls know something is up. And the annoyed tone in which he would lie about how it was work or his mother, or the defensive anger he would take on about how she doesn't trust him which would make her feel worse, when all the time she was right.
Or the false hope he gives to the girl who's not his girlfriend, calling her honey and angel when he obviously doesn't want her enough to dump his current flame. It scares me how many girls I know are so naive as to think that the cheating men love them more than their wives/girlfriends, and actually feel smug about being more favoured, in some twisted female competitiveness kind of way. How mistaken they are to think that this is actually romantic, that they love each other but can't be together. How blind they are to the guy's blatant selfishness and disregard for anyone except himself.
Girls you are worth more than half a man's love. And if you're the guy in the Hinder song - good luck to you if you ever come across me.
